A micro- and nano-scale (bio-)LNG mobile refueling station is one of the main technological developments tested by the company. The station is based on a vehicle with a total weight of 3.5 tons. The key technical element enabling the investment is a first micro-scale vacuum-less cryo-bulk complemented by equipment tailored to the LNG volume on board. This investment serves as a proof of concept for a market-ready technology in micro-scale.
In the prototype vehicle, a bulk with a volume of approximately 150 kg of LNG was successfully installed and tested, and up to 900 liters (450 kg) will be available in commercial sales. For the refueling process, a pump operating with compressed air is used. The measurement system includes special sensors to control the amount of loaded LNG. This ensures precise measurement of the discharged LNG volume; therefore, for example, the Coriolis flow metering system is not necessary. Installed LNG dispensing nozzles, as the interface for refueling, are compatible with typical ones existing on the market.
