Products & Solutions
Based on the developed LNG-micro-bulk for (bio-)LNG, HIE-RO will offer a scalable, partially self-sufficient energy station for thermal and electrical energy supply systems, serving as an alternative decentralized energy supply option for offices or small production plants. To meet the demands of potential end-users, the system will produce both thermal and electrical power. A new generation of fuel cells will be integrated into the power supply system for energy production. In this case, liquefied methane will be used as an input, and after vaporizing, it will be injected into the fuel cell system. During the chemical processes, methane will be split into hydrogen for energy production and CO², which can be collected and reused/recycled, for example, in the form of dry ice or for the transformation of hydrogen into methane for transportation or storage. This will unlock the application of an alternative off-grid energy supply solution to promote the commercial use of hydrogen with the use of (bio-) LNG as a carrier.
